Veteran Families & Communities
There has been a disconnect in the reciprocal, social contract between warrior, citizen and nation since WWII. The US military has turned to volunteers as it's only source of recruiting and it is widely accepted that this is causing our veteran warriors the unintended feeling of being isolated from our collective interest. What was once the common practice of shared preparation, support and eventually caring upon our warrior's return has fallen on relatively few family members and institutional support systems. This is a burden that needs to be understood and once again spread throughout our citizenry and civilian communities.
